Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act Cannot Be Used To Regulate Temples That Are Managed By Maths: Karnataka HC

The Karnataka High Court has held that the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments Act of 1997 (the Act) doesn’t apply to a Temple or a Math which is attached or managed by a Math and therefore no directions can be issued to the state government for exercising its executive power to regulate them.
