Failure to Intimate Changes in Insurance Policy at the time of Renewal is Deficiency in Service, Rules Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has held that the failure of insurance agents to disclose changes in policy conditions when renewing the policy amounts to deficiency of service within the meaning of the Consumer Protection Act. These observations were made by a Bench of Justices S Ravindra Bhat and KM Joseph in an appeal against an NCDRC
