Burden of Proof lies on the complainant to prove that there was deficiency in service: SC

Recently, while dealing with a consumer case, the Top Court observed that the onus to prove deficiency in service was on the complainant. The bench observed that without any proof of deficiency, a party can’t be held responsible for deficiency in service. In this case, the complainant (Dolphin International Ltd) had hired SGS India Ltd.
