Under the directions of the Hon’ble Mr. Justice Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh, a comprehensive training programme on digital judicial applications, namely Nyaya Shruti, eSakshya, eSummons, eChallan, the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), and the Interoperable Criminal Justice System (ICJS), was organised on Sunday, 19 July 2027, at the District and Sessions Courts across the State for Judicial Officers. The initiative was undertaken to enhance the understanding, effective management, and efficient utilisation of digital platforms that are integral to the modern justice delivery system.
The training programme was conducted for Judges posted in the District and Taluka Courts, Family Courts, and Judicial Officers serving on deputation. The objective of these workshops was to strengthen the criminal justice delivery system through the effective implementation of the new criminal laws by leveraging digital technology, thereby making the justice delivery process more robust, transparent, and time-efficient. As part of this statewide training initiative, Judicial Officers were imparted comprehensive training on the new criminal laws and the associated digital technologies. Special emphasis was laid on the growing importance of digital evidence and technology-enabled judicial processes under the new criminal law framework.
The programme also focused on the practical application and effective use of the aforesaid digital judicial platforms. These digital platforms have been introduced to facilitate seamless court functioning, improve coordination among stakeholders in the criminal justice system, expedite judicial processes, and promote greater transparency and efficiency in court administration.
During the training sessions, the Judicial Resource Persons provided the Judicial Officers with detailed demonstrations and practical guidance on the operational features of these digital platforms. The sessions were designed to equip the Judicial Officers with the technical knowledge and practical skills required for the effective use of these platforms in day-to-day judicial work, including digital recording of proceedings, electronic service of summons, processing of electronic challans, digital evidence management through eSakshya, and integration with CCTNS and ICJS.
The training programme reflects the continued commitment of the High Court of Chhattisgarh towards the digital transformation of the judiciary and the strengthening of institutional capacity through continuous professional development of Judicial Officers. By promoting the effective adoption of modern digital technologies, the High Court of Chhattisgarh seeks to ensure faster, more efficient, transparent, and technology-driven justice delivery for the benefit of litigants and all stakeholders in the justice delivery system.
