Early Morning Fire Breaks Out Inside Allahabad High Court Courtroom; AC Short-Circuit Suspected

A fire broke out inside Courtroom No. 3 of the Allahabad High Court in the early hours of Friday morning, prompting a swift response from local emergency services.

Officials have confirmed that no injuries or casualties were reported, as the courtroom was entirely vacant when the blaze began.

According to initial reports, the fire is believed to have been triggered by an electrical short-circuit or malfunction within the courtroom’s air conditioning unit.

Upon receiving the alert, firefighting teams rushed to the high court premises. First responders managed to contain the flames and bring the situation fully under control by approximately 9:00 AM.

While the incident caused temporary concern and unease among court staff and early visitors, officials noted that a major disaster was averted. The early-morning timing of the outbreak ensured that the heavily trafficked courtroom was empty, preventing potential casualties and keeping physical damage to a minimum.

In the wake of the incident, authorities plan to conduct a thorough investigation and safety audit. A detailed assessment of Courtroom No. 3’s structural infrastructure and electrical systems is expected to be carried out shortly to prevent future occurrences.

Meanwhile, the Allahabad High Court’s official website remains fully functional, and administration officials continue to monitor the situation closely.
