The New Delhi Bar Association (NDBA) has advised lawyers and parties appearing in person to join proceedings through video conferencing on February 21 and 23 in view of the Bar Council of Delhi elections.
The advisory was issued through a circular signed by NDBA Secretary Tarun Rana following a communication from the office of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, New Delhi district.
As per the circular, elections for members of the Bar Council of Delhi will be held on February 21, 22 and 23 at the Delhi High Court premises. Considering the elections, lawyers and litigants have been requested to appear virtually in matters listed before courts at the New Delhi district, Patiala House Courts, on February 21 and 23.
The circular also states that the video conferencing links are available on the district court’s official website under the “Important Links” section.
The arrangement has been made to ensure smooth court functioning while facilitating the participation of lawyers in the Bar Council polls.
