The Supreme Court Collegium has approved the proposal to appoint Shri Vinai Kumar Dwivedi, a Judicial Officer, as a Judge of the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad.
According to the statement released on Monday, the decision was taken during the Collegium’s meeting held on October 6, 2025. The Collegium’s approval is the next step in the judicial appointment process, following which the recommendation will be sent to the Union government for the issuance of a formal warrant of appointment by the President of India.
Shri Vinai Kumar Dwivedi’s elevation comes as part of the Collegium’s ongoing efforts to fill vacancies in High Courts across the country.
