Delhi High Court Welcomes Justice Vimal Kumar Yadav, Judge Strength Rises to 44

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday welcomed Justice Vimal Kumar Yadav as its newest judge, bringing the current working strength of the court to 44 against a sanctioned capacity of 60.

Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya administered the oath of office to Justice Yadav in a ceremony held within the high court premises. The oath was taken in Hindi.

Justice Yadav, a retired judicial officer from the Delhi District judiciary, was elevated to the high court following a notification issued by the Centre on August 8. His appointment was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium on July 28 — nearly seven months after his retirement.
