The Gauhati High Court has officially announced the commencement of its recruitment process for Junior Administrative Assistant posts. The online application window will open on July 15, 2025, and remain active till July 31, 2025, as per the official notification released on the court’s website ghconline.gov.in. This recruitment drive aims to fill 367 vacancies across various districts.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, a candidate must:
- Be a graduate in any stream from a UGC-recognized university as on the last date of application submission.
- Possess a computer proficiency certificate of at least 3 months duration.
Age Limit (as on the last date of application):
- General (UR): 18 to 40 years
- OBC/MOBC: 18 to 43 years
- SC/ST (P)/ST (H): 18 to 45 years
- PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities): 18 to 50 years
Selection Process
The selection process will comprise three stages:

- Common Written Test – 100 marks (2-hour duration)
- Computer Skill Test – 35 marks
- Viva Voce – 15 marks
The written test will contain 120 objective-type questions, each carrying one mark, with a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
The final selection will be made on the basis of the aggregate score out of 150 marks, combining performance in all three stages. Selection will be made district-wise.

- SC/ST: ₹250/-
- All other categories: ₹500/-
- PwBD candidates: No fee required
The application fee must be paid in cash at any State Bank of India branch by August 5, 2025.
