The Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday granted adjournment to the state government in a case seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged leak of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam question paper.
A division bench, while hearing the matter, was informed by the state that the Crime Investigation Department (CID) is currently probing the allegations. The government stated that no conclusive evidence has been found so far indicating that the question paper was leaked before the examination.
The court scheduled the next hearing for June 26.

The JSSC CGL examination was conducted on January 28, 2024, with thousands of candidates appearing for the competitive test. However, soon after the exam, allegations surfaced suggesting that question papers had been leaked and accessed by certain candidates in advance.
Similar claims had been raised earlier regarding another round of examinations held on September 21 and 22, 2023. Following a complaint, an online FIR was registered requesting police intervention.
In light of the controversy, the Jharkhand High Court, on December 17, 2024, directed the state government to withhold the declaration of final results for the 2023 CGL examination until the investigation concludes.
