The Association of Democratic Reforms has moved the Apex Court seeking the formation of an independent Selection Committee for appointing members of the Election Commission. Advocate Prashant Bhushan appeared for the petitioner and stated that the present method of appointing Election Commission members, that the executive does was incompatible with Article 324(2) of the Constitution.
