Bilaspur, 11th March 2025 – In a groundbreaking initiative to support Judicial Officers, particularly women, Hon’ble Shri Justice Ramesh Sinha, The Chief Justice, High Court of Chhattisgarh, today inaugurated a new creche facility at the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy (CSJA). The creation of this facility underscores the Chief Justice’s commitment to provide a safe and caring environment that helps Judicial Officers balance their professional and personal responsibilities.
Many female Judicial Officers attending institutional training at the CSJA bring their children along, who stay with their mothers in the hostel campus. Recognizing this need for a safe and nurturing space for children while their parents focus on their training, Hon’ble The Chief Justice acknowledged the importance of having a childcare facility on campus.
To address this need, on the direction of Hon’ble The Chief Justice, a fully equipped creche has been established within the CSJA hostel campus. The creche is outfitted with all necessary accessories to ensure that children of Judicial Officers are cared for in a safe, secure, and nurturing environment while their parents undergo training. The facility is designed to provide comfort and care, allowing parents to focus on their professional development with peace of mind.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Hon’ble Smt. Justice Rajani Dubey, Chairperson of the committee to monitor the functioning of CSJA, along with Hon’ble Shri Justice Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi and Hon’ble Shri Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal, Members of the committee to monitor the functioning of CSJA. The presence of these dignitaries emphasized the importance of the initiative and the collective effort in ensuring its success.
This creche marks an important milestone in the Judiciary’s efforts to provide a supportive environment for women in the legal profession. By addressing the work-life balance challenges faced by judicial officers, especially mothers, the Chhattisgarh State Judicial Academy is fostering a more inclusive and family-friendly atmosphere within the judiciary.
The establishment of this creche is a testament to the visionary leadership of Hon’ble The Chief Justice and a significant step towards ensuring that judicial officers, especially women, are empowered to succeed in both their professional and personal lives.
