A Delhi court is set to pass an order on January 15 regarding the bail plea of AAP Uttam Nagar MLA Naresh Balyan, who is currently facing charges under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). Special Judge Kaveri Baweja has extended Balyan’s judicial custody until February 1 after his recent court appearance upon the completion of his previous custody period.
During the hearing, the judge reserved the order on Balyan’s bail application after listening to arguments from both the defense and the prosecution. Additionally, the court has scheduled January 22 for hearing arguments on the chargesheet related to the case, for which Balyan was arrested on December 4.
