Estranged Wife and Family Seek Anticipatory Bail in Techie Suicide Case

In a recent development in Bengaluru, the estranged wife and family members of the late engineer Atul Subhash have filed anticipatory bail pleas in the Allahabad High Court. The applications were submitted by Nikita Singhania, her mother Nisha, brother Anurag, and uncle Sushil Singhania, following a summons issued by the Bengaluru City Police.

The police directive required Nikita Singhania to present herself for questioning within three days in connection with the suicide of her husband. Atul Subhash, 34, a Bengaluru-based engineer, took his own life earlier this week, leaving behind a note accusing his wife and her family members of harassment.

In response to the allegations detailed in the suicide note, a case of abetment to suicide has been registered against Nikita and her relatives. The anticipatory bail pleas represent an effort by the Singhania family to avoid arrest as the police investigation intensifies.
