Supreme Court Forms Task Force for Kolkata Rape-Murder Case – Know the Members

In response to the harrowing rape-murder incident in Kolkata, the Supreme Court of India, led by Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, has issued directives for the formation of a national task force aimed at enhancing the safe working conditions for healthcare professionals. During today’s hearing, the court also reprimanded the West Bengal government for delays in registering the First Information Report (FIR) and expressed its displeasure at the officials of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital for their tardy response.

The court emphasized the need for accountability and swift action against those involved in vandalism within hospital premises.
