In a significant development in the alleged liquor scam case, the judicial custody of former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia has been extended until July 22 by the Rouse Avenue Court. This decision marks another setback for the Aam Aadmi Party leader.
Earlier, Sisodia faced disappointment when the Rouse Avenue Court extended his judicial custody until July 15. The court’s decision came as a blow to Sisodia, who has been imprisoned in connection with the Delhi excise scam case.
During the hearing, Sisodia’s lawyer, Vivek Jain, argued that the CBI was misleading the court. In response, CBI’s counsel, D.P. Singh, informed the court that new evidence had emerged since June and that they would present this information before the Supreme Court.
