Jurisdictional Defect of Original Court Cannot be Cured by Appellate Court: Karnataka HC

In a recent ruling, the Karnataka High Court has highlighted that the jurisdictional defect of the original court cannot be rectified by an appellate court, even if it possesses the necessary competence.  The single-judge bench of Justice M Nagaprasanna made this clear while quashing an order issued by the Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare
